The inspection of stainless steel storage tanks is divided into external inspection, internal inspection, and comprehensive inspection. The regular inspection of stainless steel storage tanks should be determined based on the technical service conditions of the tanks. Generally speaking, external inspections should be conducted at least once a year, internal inspections should be conducted at least once every three years, and comprehensive inspections should be conducted at least once every six years. If the service life of stainless steel storage tanks exceeds 15 years, internal and external inspections should be conducted every two years. If the service life reaches 20 years, internal and external inspections should be conducted at least once a year.
Before inspecting the stainless steel storage tank, it is necessary to:
1. Refer to the data from the previous inspection to understand the defects, issues, and solutions identified during the previous inspection;
2. Remove the materials from the storage tank, separate them from other equipment, and make clear markings;
3. Replace and clean the residual gas in the storage tank, and the analysis results meet safety standards;
4. Open all inspection holes, remove internal parts and remove dust from the inner walls;
5. Cut off the power supply to the storage tank, and use low-voltage explosion-proof lamps with a voltage not exceeding 12V or 24V during the internal inspection process of the storage tank. A dedicated person is required to monitor the outside of the storage tank. Tank. The voltage of inspection instruments and tools should not exceed 36V, and insulated flexible wires and reliable grounding wires should be used;
If hot work is involved, the approved procedures for handling hot work should be followed, and fire, safety, and rescue facilities should be provided in the storage tank area.
